Ingredients

  • 7g agar powder
  • 400ml coconut milk
  • 50g unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Agar Mixture

  1. In a small saucepan, dissolve the agar in ½ cup of water. Let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.

Step 2: Heat the Mixture

  1. Add the coconut milk to the saucepan and gently heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally.

Step 3: Incorporate Cocoa Powder

  1. Sift the cocoa powder into the coconut milk mixture, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.

Step 4: Simmer & Stir

  1. Bring the mixture to a light simmer, stirring constantly, until the agar is fully dissolved (about 3-5 minutes). Do not let it boil.

Step 5: Set the Dessert

  1. Pour the mixture into molds, ramekins, or a shallow dish. Let it cool to room temperature before transferring to the refrigerator.

Step 6: Chill & Serve

  1. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully set. Once firm, unmold or slice into pieces and enjoy.

Notes

  • Add a Sweet Touch: If you prefer a sweeter taste, add stevia or monk fruit sweetener.
  • Vanilla Flavor: Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for extra depth.
  • Nutty Crunch: Top with chopped almonds, hazelnuts, or coconut flakes before chilling.
  • Berry Twist: Serve with fresh berries or a sugar-free fruit puree for added freshness.
