Ingredients
- 1 box of large pasta shells
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and well mixed.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the cooked pasta shells and mix gently to coat the pasta.
- Spoon the ricotta cheese mixture over the pasta, spreading it evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
