Ingredients

For the Biscuits:

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Icing:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking pan or skillet.
  • Prepare the Sugar Coating:
    • In a bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
    • Dip each biscuit into melted butter, ensuring all sides are coated.
    • Roll the butter-coated biscuits in the brown sugar mixture until evenly covered.
  • Arrange the Biscuits:
    • Place the coated biscuits in the prepared baking pan, slightly overlapping if necessary.
  • Prepare the Apple Filling:
    • Chop the apple pie filling into smaller pieces and mix in the vanilla extract.
  • Assemble and Bake:
    • Spread the apple pie filling evenly over the arranged biscuits.
    • Sprinkle any remaining brown sugar mixture over the top and drizzle with remaining melted butter.
    • Bake for 35 minutes, or until biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Prepare the Icing:
    • In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  • Serve:
    • Drizzle icing over the warm biscuits and serve immediately.
