Avocado, Mozzarella, and Tomato Grilled Cheese takes the classic grilled cheese sandwich to a whole new level. With creamy avocado, gooey mozzarella, and juicy tomatoes, this sandwich is grilled to perfection between slices of multigrain bread. It’s a satisfying, delicious, and easy-to-make meal that’s perfect for any time of day.

 

Ingredients

  • ½ avocado, sliced
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 cherry tomatoes, sliced in half
  • 2 slices multigrain bread (such as Ezekiel sprouted grain bread)
  • A dab of butter

Instructions

  1. Butter the Bread: Spread butter on the outside layers of each slice of bread.
  2. Assemble the Sandwich: Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in a frying pan heated over medium heat.
  3. Layer the Ingredients: Layer mozzarella cheese, sliced tomatoes, and avocado slices on top of the bread in the pan.
  4. Complete the Sandwich: Top with the remaining slice of bread, buttered side up.
  5. Grill to Perfection: Cook the sandwich for a few minutes on each side, flipping carefully, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
