Ingredients

For the Chocolate Cake Layer:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients on the box)
  • ½ cup Baileys Irish Cream

For the Cheesecake Layer:

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup Baileys Irish Cream
  • 2 cups whipped cream

For the Chocolate Pudding Layer:

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 (3.9 oz) package instant chocolate pudding mix

For Garnish:

  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder
  • Additional Baileys Irish Cream (optional drizzle)

Instructions

Prepare the Chocolate Cake:

  • Preheat oven according to cake mix instructions.
  • Prepare cake batter as directed, substituting ½ cup Baileys for some of the liquid.
  • Bake as instructed, let cool completely, then cut into cubes or crumble.

2. Make the Cheesecake Layer:

  • Beat cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add powdered sugar & Baileys, mixing until combined.
  • Gently fold in whipped cream until fluffy.

3. Prepare the Chocolate Pudding:

  • In a bowl, whisk milk & pudding mix until thickened (about 2 minutes).

4. Assemble the Trifle:

  • In a trifle dish or individual glasses, layer:
    1. Chocolate cake pieces
    2. Baileys cheesecake mixture
    3. Chocolate pudding
  • Repeat layers until the dish is full, ending with cheesecake or whipped cream.

5. Garnish & Serve:

  • Top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or cocoa powder.
  • Drizzle Baileys Irish Cream for extra indulgence.
  • Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
