This Baked Honey Mustard Chicken is a deliciously simple dish that combines the sweetness of honey with the tanginess of mustard for a flavorful glaze. It’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or special occasions, offering tender chicken breasts coated in a sweet and savory sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • ½ cup honey
  • ½ cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:

    • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Prepare the Glaze:

    • In a small bowl, mix together honey, Dijon mustard, prepared mustard, dried basil, paprika, and dried parsley until well combined.
  • Season the Chicken:

    • Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Apply the Glaze:

    • Pour half of the honey mustard mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  • Bake:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Then, turn the chicken pieces over and brush with the remaining glaze. Continue baking for another 10 to 15 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink, the juices run clear, and an instant-read thermometer reads at least 165°F (74°C).
  • Serve:

    • Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before serving.
