Ingredients

  • 6 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 tsp grated garlic
  • 1 1/2 tbsp scallions, thinly sliced
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 baguette or ciabatta
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2: Prepare the Shrimp Mixture

  • Chop the shrimp into small pieces (or pulse briefly in a food processor).
  • In a bowl, mix shrimp, mayonnaise, melted butter, garlic, scallions, and black pepper.

Step 3: Prepare the Bread

  • Slice the baguette or ciabatta in half horizontally.
  • Spread the shrimp mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.

Step 4: Bake

  • Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread is crispy.

Step 5: Garnish & Serve

  • Sprinkle with fresh basil and serve immediately.
