  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • ½ cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

2️⃣ Mash Bananas: In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.

3️⃣ Mix Wet Ingredients: Stir in melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

4️⃣ Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

5️⃣ Mix the Batter: Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Stir in sour cream, then fold in chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).

6️⃣ Bake: Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

7️⃣ Cool & Serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Extra Moisture: Substitute butter with coconut oil or use buttermilk for an even softer texture.
  • Dairy-Free Option: Use dairy-free chocolate chips and replace butter with coconut oil.
  • Chocolate Lovers: Add an extra ¼ cup of chocolate chips for a richer flavor!
