This Broccoli Chicken Casserole is a creamy, cheesy, and comforting dish made with tender chicken, fresh broccoli, and a rich, flavorful sauce. Easy to prepare and perfect for busy weeknights, this hearty casserole is sure to be a family favorite!

Ingredients

For the Casserole:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 3 cups fresh broccoli florets (or frozen, thawed)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

For the Topping:

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup crushed Ritz crackers or panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

Preheat Oven & Prep Dish:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2️⃣ Prepare the Casserole Mixture:

  • In a large bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Stir in cooked chicken, broccoli, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.

3️⃣ Assemble & Bake:

  • Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • Sprinkle with the remaining ½ cup shredded cheese.

4️⃣ Prepare the Topping:

  • In a small bowl, mix crushed Ritz crackers (or panko) with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle evenly over the casserole.

5️⃣ Bake & Serve:

  • Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
