Ingredients

  • 4 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 cup diced green apples
  • 4 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 5 tbsp butter (cinnamon butter or unsalted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Set oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Add Wet Ingredients & Apples:
    • Stir in water, milk, and diced apples.
  4. Incorporate Butter:
    • Melt butter and mix thoroughly into the oatmeal mixture.
  5. Transfer to Baking Dish:
    • Pour mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake for 45-60 minutes until golden brown and set.
  7. Serve:
    • Let cool slightly and drizzle warm caramel sauce over the top before serving.
