Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, oregano, and basil.
  • Add Cheese: Stir in shredded cheese until evenly distributed.
  • Prepare Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix milk, melted butter, eggs, and minced garlic. Whisk until smooth.
  • Combine: Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Bake: Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool & Serve: Let cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
