Ingredients

  • For the garlic bread crust:
  • 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Alfredo sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the pizza topping:

  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, diced or shredded (rotisserie chicken works well)

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Preheat to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.

  • Prepare the garlic bread crust: Slice the bread in half lengthwise. In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt. Spread this garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread.

  • Toast the garlic bread: Place the bread halves on the baking sheet, cut-side up, and toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.

  • Make the Alfredo sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Add heavy cream, bring to a simmer, and cook for 3-4 minutes. Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheese until melted and the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Assemble the pizza: Remove the garlic bread from the oven. Spread a generous layer of Alfredo sauce on the toasted bread. Top with cooked chicken and shredded mozzarella. If desired, sprinkle crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.

  • Bake the pizza: Return the pizza to the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is golden brown.

  • Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped fresh parsley or basil. Slice and serve immediately!

Notes

  • Makes 2-4 servings depending on bread size.

  • Feel free to customize with your favorite toppings like sautéed vegetables or extra cheese.

  • If you like a crispier crust, bake the garlic bread longer before adding the sauce.
