Ingredients

For the Pasta Bake:

  • 12 ounces pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
  • Cook the Pasta:
    • Cook the pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Make the Sauce:

  • Combine with Pasta and Chicken:
    • Add the cooked pasta and shredded chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat everything evenly with the creamy sauce.
  • Assemble the Bake:
    • Pour the pasta and chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  • Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
