This Decadent Three-Layered Chocolate Cake is a chocolate lover’s dream! Ingredients

For the Cake:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs

For the Chocolate Ganache:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cake Batter:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
    • In a large bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.
  • Bake the Cakes:
    • Divide batter evenly among the prepared pans.
    • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    • Let cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Prepare the Ganache:
    • Place semi-sweet, milk, and white chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl.
    • In a saucepan, heat heavy cream and butter over medium heat until it just starts to simmer.
    • Pour over the chocolate chips and let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
    • Stir in vanilla extract and salt. Let ganache cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.
  • Assemble the Cake:
    • Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of ganache on top.
    • Repeat with the remaining layers. Use the remaining ganache to frost the top and sides.
