  • 1 tablespoon chili paste or gochujang (Korean chili paste)

  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 2 teaspoons honey

  • 2 packs ramen noodles (discard the seasoning packet)

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened

  • 2 tablespoons butter

For Garnish:

  • 2 green onions, sliced

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

  • Fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside to rest.

  • In the same pot, add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Pour in chicken broth, soy sauce, sriracha, chili paste, rice vinegar, and honey. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.

  • While the broth is simmering, cook ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  • Shred the cooked chicken using two forks.

  • In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add heavy cream and cream cheese, stirring until smooth and creamy. Remove from heat.

  • Add shredded chicken to the simmering broth and cook for 3-4 more minutes.

  • To serve, divide the cooked ramen noodles into bowls. Pour the fiery chicken broth and chicken mixture over the noodles.

  • Drizzle with the creamy garlic sauce, and garnish with sliced green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro (optional).

  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Add extra sriracha or crushed red pepper flakes for more heat.

  • Add vegetables like spinach, bok choy, or mushrooms for extra texture and flavor.

  • For an alternative protein, swap chicken for shrimp or tofu.
