Ingredients

For the filling:

  • 12 large marshmallows
  • 6 graham crackers, crushed into crumbs
  • 12 chocolate squares or chocolate chips

For the breading:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

For frying:

  • Vegetable oil

Optional toppings:

  • Powdered sugar
  • Chocolate sauce
  • Whipped cream

Instructions

  • Flatten each marshmallow with your palm and place a chocolate square or a few chocolate chips inside.
  • Roll the marshmallow in crushed graham crackers until fully coated. Freeze for 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Prepare a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs.
  • Dip each frozen marshmallow into the flour, eggs, and breadcrumbs, ensuring each is well-coated.
  • Heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep fryer or large pot.
  • Fry the marshmallow bombs for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with chocolate sauce or whipped cream before serving.

Notes

  • For a twist, substitute the chocolate with peanut butter or Nutella.
  • Add shredded coconut to the breadcrumbs for extra flavor and texture.
  • Freezing the marshmallows before frying helps prevent the filling from oozing out
