Frozen Candy Grapes with Jello are a refreshing, colorful, and guilt-free treat that’s perfect for hot days or a sweet snack. Coated in vibrant Jello flavors and frozen to create a candy-like texture, these bite-sized grapes are a fun, easy-to-make dessert that everyone will love. Ideal for parties, BBQs, or a simple, sweet snack!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups grapes (red, green, or a mix)
  • 1 box of Jello (any flavor, such as strawberry, raspberry, or lime)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for added sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  • Prepare the Grapes: Wash the grapes thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel. Ensure they are completely dry to help the Jello coating stick well.
  • Make the Jello Coating: In a small bowl, combine the Jello powder with the sugar (if using) and water. Stir until the mixture is smooth and the Jello and sugar are fully dissolved.
  • Coat the Grapes: Dip each grape into the Jello mixture, rolling it until fully coated. You can use a fork or your fingers for this step.
  • Freeze the Grapes: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Place the coated grapes in a single layer, ensuring they don’t touch each other. Freeze for 2-3 hours, or until they are fully frozen with a candy-like coating.
  • Serve: Remove the grapes from the sheet and transfer them to a serving bowl. Serve immediately, or store in a freezer-safe container for later.

Notes

  • Different Jello Flavors: Experiment with various Jello flavors like orange, lime, or grape to create different color and flavor combinations.
  • Fruit Mix: Coat other fruits like blueberries, strawberries, or pineapple chunks for a fun fruit medley.
  • Gelatin Alternative: Use sugar-free Jello or gelatin for a lighter, lower-calorie treat.
  • Coconut Twist: Roll the coated grapes in shredded coconut before freezing for a tropical flavor.
