Ingredients

  • 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 whole head of garlic, peeled and minced (10–12 cloves)

  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon paprika (smoked or sweet)

  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter: In a skillet or saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter with olive oil. Stir occasionally.

  2. Sauté the garlic: Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.

  3. Add spices: Stir in Old Bay, paprika, cayenne, onion powder, lemon pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.

  4. Finish with lemon & Worcestershire: Add lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce. Let simmer for 3–5 minutes.

  5. Season to taste: Adjust salt and pepper as desired.

  6. Serve: Remove from heat, stir in parsley, and serve warm over seafood or as a dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Spice level is adjustable—add more or less cayenne/red pepper to your liking.

  • For deeper garlic flavor, try roasted garlic instead of raw.

  • Tastes even better the next day as flavors meld.

  • Works well with shrimp, crab, crawfish, lobster, mussels, or clams.

  • Also delicious as a dip for bread, drizzle over rice, or tossed with pasta.
