  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Optional Toppings:

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving)
  • Hot fudge or caramel sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions

Prepare the Pie Crust:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie plate.
  • Crimp the edges as desired and set aside.

2. Make the Brownie Filling:

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Add the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.

3. Bake the Pie:

  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pie crust and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly gooey.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

4. Serve & Enjoy:

  • Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with hot fudge.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the ultimate dessert experience!

Notes

  • For a softer, gooey center, bake for closer to 25 minutes.
  • Want a crispier crust? Pre-bake the pie crust for 5 minutes before adding the brownie batter.
  • For extra richness, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet.
