This Greek Steak Marinade is a simple yet flavorful blend of olive oil, lemon, garlic, and herbs that infuses steaks with vibrant Mediterranean flavors. Perfect for grilling or pan-searing, this marinade tenderizes the meat while giving it a zesty finish. Ideal for all cuts of beef, and even great with lamb or chicken, this marinade will elevate your steak to the next level!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound of steak (any cut)

Instructions

  • Combine Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, red wine vinegar, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Marinate the Steak: Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, seal the bag, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 8 hours for more flavor.
  • Cook the Steak: Remove steak from the marinade, discarding the leftover liquid. Grill or pan-sear to your desired doneness.
  • Serve: Let the steak rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Spicy Kick: Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a little heat.
  • Fresh Herbs: Swap dried oregano for fresh rosemary, thyme, or basil for an even bolder flavor.
