For the Mini Burgers:
1 lb (450g) ground beef (preferably 80% lean)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
12 mini burger buns (slider buns)
6 slices cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
For the Toppings:
Lettuce leaves (optional)
Sliced tomato (optional)
Sliced pickles (optional)
Ketchup, mustard, or your favorite condiments
For Cooking:
Prepare the Burger Patties:
In a bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until evenly distributed, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Divide the seasoned beef into 12 portions and shape each into a small patty, slightly larger than the mini buns.
Cook the Mini Burgers:
Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and add the olive oil or butter.
Place the mini patties in the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F/70°C). Add cheese in the last minute to melt if desired.
Toast the Mini Buns:
While cooking the patties, slice the mini buns and toast them lightly in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
Assemble the Mini Burgers:
Place the cooked patties on the bottom halves of the toasted buns. Add lettuce, tomato, pickles, and your favorite condiments, then top with the other half of the bun.
Serve:
Serve the mini burgers immediately while they’re warm and fresh.
Storage/Reheating: Leftover mini burgers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat by microwaving or warming in a skillet over low heat.
Freezing: Uncooked burger patties can be frozen for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before cooking.
