Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb party chicken wing dings (disjointed with tips removed)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 89 tsp jerk seasoning
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • Cooking spray
  • 2 tbsp salted butter
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 tsp tamari (gluten-free soy sauce)
  • 1/4 tsp gluten-free hot sauce
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger or fresh grated ginger
  • 1/8 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Pat dry the chicken wings with a paper towel. Season with salt, pepper, jerk seasoning, and baking powder. Toss to combine.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Spray the rack with cooking spray and arrange the wings in a single layer.
  • Cook the wings for 15-17 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • While the wings cook, melt butter in a pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Stir in honey, tamari, hot sauce, ginger, and smoked paprika. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Once wings are crispy, toss them in the sauce or brush the sauce on the wings and return to the air fryer for an additional 8 minutes.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the heat level by adding more jerk seasoning or hot sauce.
  • Try boneless chicken thighs or drumsticks as an alternative.
  • For a sweeter version, add more honey.
