Instructions

Cook the Ground Beef:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.

Add Seasonings:

  1. Stir in salsa and taco seasoning, mixing well to coat the beef evenly.

Incorporate Vegetables and Beans:

  1. Add shredded cabbage, black beans (if using), and water to the skillet. Stir thoroughly.
  2. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Simmer:

  1. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to medium.
  2. Cover and simmer for about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.

Add Cheese:

  1. Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the top.
  2. Cover the skillet and let the cheese melt for a few minutes.

Serve:

  1. Garnish with your choice of optional toppings such as sour cream, green onions, or avocado.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy!
