Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons fresh orange juice

Instructions

For the Cake:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan. Line with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Eggs and Flavorings: Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in orange zest, orange juice, yogurt, and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine: Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Bake: Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the Orange Glaze:

  1. Mix: Whisk powdered sugar and orange juice until smooth.
  2. Drizzle: Pour over the cooled cake and allow it to set before slicing.
