Peanut Butter Blossom Bars are a soft, chewy twist on the classic cookie, baked in bar form and topped with iconic Hershey’s Kisses. This easy, crowd-pleasing recipe is perfect for holidays, parties, or satisfying your sweet cravings!

 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅔ cup milk chocolate chips
  • 24 Hershey’s Kisses

Instructions

  1. Prep the Oven:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream Butters and Sugars:
    • In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and peanut butter until smooth and creamy. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, and beat until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Egg and Vanilla:
    • Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  6. Fold in Chocolate Chips:
    • Gently fold in the milk chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Bake the Bars:
    • Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Add Hershey’s Kisses:
    • Immediately after removing the pan from the oven, press a Hershey’s Kiss into the top of each bar while still hot.
  9. Cool & Slice:
    • Let the bars cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper for easy removal of bars from the pan.
  • To adjust sweetness, use dark chocolate Kisses or reduce the amount of sugar slightly.
  • Ensure peanut butter is well-mixed if using natural peanut butter.
