This Philly Cheesesteak Garlic Bread is the perfect fusion of a classic Philly cheesesteak and crispy garlic bread. Loaded with thinly sliced ribeye steak, caramelized onions, and melted cheese, this indulgent dish is ideal for parties, game days, or family dinners!

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread or French baguette
  • 1 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Prepare the Bread

  • Slice the loaf in half lengthwise and place it cut-side up on a baking sheet.

3. Cook the Steak

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the ribeye slices, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  • Remove from the skillet and set aside.

4. Sauté the Vegetables

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil.
  • Sauté the onions (and optional bell peppers or mushrooms) until caramelized.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.

5. Assemble the Bread

  • Spread the cooked steak evenly over the bread halves.
  • Top with sautéed vegetables.
  • Sprinkle generously with shredded cheese.

6. Bake the Bread

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.

7. Serve

  • Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, slice into portions, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Storage: Cool leftovers completely, then wrap in foil or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge.
  • Reheating: Warm in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 10-12 minutes until heated through.
