Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 packet (1 oz) Old El Paso™ Original Taco Seasoning Mix
  • ¾ cup Old El Paso™ Thick ‘n Chunky Salsa
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
  • Shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare Crescent Roll Crust:
    • Unroll the crescent rolls and arrange them in a 9-inch pie pan or 10-inch pie plate.
    • Press the dough over the bottom and up the sides to form a crust.
  3. Cook the Ground Beef:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
    • Drain any excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning mix and salsa. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well combined.
  4. Assemble the Taco Bake:
    • Spoon the seasoned beef mixture evenly over the prepared crescent roll crust.
    • Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Bake:
    • Place the assembled dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crescent roll crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes.
    • Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream if desired.
    • Slice and serve warm!
