This Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding recipe is a creamy, comforting dessert made with simple pantry staples. Flavored with vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon, this nostalgic treat is perfect served warm or chilled. Easy to make and irresistibly delicious!

 

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup Minute Rice
  • 2 ¾ cups milk
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ cup raisins
  • Cinnamon (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prepare:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Butter a 1-quart baking dish.
  2. Mix the Pudding:
    • In the baking dish, combine Minute Rice, milk, sugar, butter, salt, vanilla, nutmeg, and raisins.
  3. Bake:
    • Place in the oven and bake for 1 hour.
    • Stir after 15 minutes and again once done.
  4. Finish & Serve:
    • Sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.
    • Enjoy warm or chilled. The pudding will thicken as it cools.
