Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken (cut into pieces)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tbsp black pepper (freshly cracked)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or cooking oil)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add marinated chicken to the skillet in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding.
  • Cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  • Drizzle remaining marinade over the chicken, tossing to coat.
  • Serve hot, garnished with extra black pepper or fresh herbs.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, coat chicken in flour or cornstarch before frying.
  • Adjust spice level by increasing or decreasing red pepper flakes.
  • Pairs well with rice, steamed veggies, or noodles.
